Editorial Standards & Peer Review

  • Peer Review Model: Rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review conducted by at least two independent external reviewers.

  • Plagiarism Prevention: All submitted manuscripts undergo similarity screening using Turnitin or iThenticate, maintaining a strict threshold of ≤20% similarity.

  • Publishing Ethics: Adheres strictly to the Core Practices and Guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

  • Author Contributions & Transparency: Mandates the use of the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) framework, along with explicit declarations of Funding, Competing Interests, Generative AI Usage, and a Data Availability Statement.

  • Citation Standard: Formatted in strict compliance with the APA 7th Edition style, requiring the use of reference managers such as Mendeley.

Open Access, Copyright & Licensing

  • Open Access Mandate: Immediate and unrestricted Open Access to all published articles, ensuring knowledge is freely accessible to researchers, educators, and the global public.

  • Licensing: Published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0), permitting unrestricted use, distribution, adaptation, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited and any derivative works are shared under the same license.

  • Copyright: Retained by the Journal (Universitas Pakuan), with authors maintaining full rights to self-archive the published PDF version across institutional and public repositories.

Publication Fees (APC)

  • Submission Fee: 0.00 IDR (Free).

  • Article Processing Charge (APC): 500,000 IDR per accepted article to support digital infrastructure, editorial management, and permanent open access.

  • Waiver Policy: A 100% waiver (free of charge) is provided to manuscripts authored by researchers with an h-index of 10 or higher (Scopus/WoS), or co-authored by international collaborations representing at least four different countries across continents.

Digital Preservation & Archiving

To guarantee permanent access and long-term digital preservation of scholarly literature, JBER is integrated with LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, and the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN).
