Welcome to the Journal of Biology Education Research (JBER)
Journal Of Biology Education Research (JBER) (e-ISSN: 2774-7859) is a peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal published by Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Pakuan. Nationally accredited at SINTA 4 by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, JBER provides a premier scholarly platform for researchers, educators, and scientists.
JBER is dedicated to disseminating high-quality scholarly research and empirical findings that advance biology education by connecting educational theory, pedagogical innovation, and biological sciences. The journal welcomes contributions across eight interconnected areas: Biology Teaching and Learning; Curriculum and Instructional Design in Biology Education; Educational Technology and Digital Learning; Learning Materials, Media, and Educational Product Development; Biology Teacher Education and Professional Development; Assessment and Evaluation in Biology Education; Environmental and Sustainability Education; and Biology Research with Educational Relevance. Through these areas, JBER seeks to promote innovation in biology teaching and learning, strengthen biology teacher education, and foster the integration of biological knowledge and sustainability issues into educational practice.
Published biannually every May and November, all articles submitted to JBER undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process to ensure scientific integrity and publication quality before being published online.

Current Issue
This issue has been accessible online since May 2026. It features ten articles written or co-written by 47 contributors affiliated with institutions across Indonesia, Thailand, and Philippines. This edition comprises contributions representing 15 local institutions as well as two international institutions.
